Nepal records 28 Covid-19 fatalities and 2,979 cases in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,979 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Wednesday.

Likewise, altogether 1,333 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. A total of 614,327 people have recovered from the pandemic so far.

According to the Ministry of Health, 28 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,291.

A total of 2,077 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 902 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,835 people were tested through the PCR method while 4,062 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Nepal currently has 26,544 active cases.
