Chitwan Tigers announces squad for Everest Premier League

Kathmandu: Chitwan Tigers, the Everest Premier League franchise team, has announced its squad for the much-anticipated tournament slated to begin on September 25.

The squad was revealed through a press conference in the capital on Wednesday.

The team is captained by Nepali pace bowler Sompal Kami and includes Kamal Singh Aaire, Shahab Aalam, Ishan Pandey, Lalit Singh Bhandari, Sagar Dhakal among other Nepali players.

Likewise, Chitwan Tigers has roped in five international players for the tournament—Mohammad Shahzad and Karim Janat of Afghanistan, Sekugge Prasaana of Sri Lanka, Virandeep Singh of Malaysia and Danish Aziz of Pakistan.

The Head Coach for the team is Samson Jung Thapa and the Mentor and Assistant Coach is Purnendra Gosh.

“We have a strong team, I believe we will be in a notable position,” said Kishor Bhattarai of IDS group – the owner of Chitwan Tigers.
