Butwal: A meeting of Lumbini Province Assembly called for today has been postponed. The fifth meeting of the ninth session was put off till 15th September by issuing a notice.

The meeting called after the formation of a new government under the leadership of Chief Minister Kul Bahadur KC has been postponed time and again due to obstruction by the CPN-UML.

The CPN (UML) has been obstructing the meeting, demanding action against Bimala Kumari Oli and Ajay Shahi. The CPN-UML has taken action against its two members saying they are involved against the party norms and values.

The UML had boycotted the province assembly meeting at a time when the Chief Minister KC was taking a vote of confidence on August 23. The meeting has been postponed till today after the Chief Minister took the vote of confidence.
