Second shot of Vero Cell vaccine to be administered in Kathmandu from tomorrow

Kathmandu: The government is administering the second dose of the Vero Cell vaccine in Kathmandu district for the next three days from tomorrow.

According to the Kathmandu District Health Office, those who have already received the first dose will get the second shot of the Vero Cell vaccine from 145 vaccination centers.

According to the Health Directorate of the Health Ministry, 32 vaccination centers have been designated in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, 10 in Kirtipur Municipality, 15 in Chandragiri Municipality, 10 in Nagarjun Municipality, 11 in Tarkeshwor Municipality, nine in Dakschinkali Municipality, 13 in Budhanilkantha Municipality, 11 in Tokha Municipality, and nine each in Gokarneshwor, Shankarapur and Kageshwori Manohara municipalites. 

In Kathmandu Metropolitan City, vaccination centers have also been designated in Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj, Armed Police Force Hospital, Balambu, Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil Service Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital and Birendra Army Hospital.

On Friday, the government brought 4.4 million doses of the Vero Cell vaccine from China.
