Kathmandu: The country recorded a total of 1,066 new Covid-19 cases and 13 deaths in the past 24 hours. The figures were revealed from 13,368 Covid-19 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population on Friday.
Presently, the number of active cases stands at 18,115 The positivity rate is 7.97 percent, the ministry said.
Until now, the number of recovered cases is 766,696 with 938 in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate is 96.3 percent.
The death toll from the virus has reached 11,148 with 13 deaths in the last 24 hours, the ministry said. Of the infected ones, 354 have been admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICU) while 116 are on ventilator support. Similarly, 16,881 are in home isolation, 1,234 in institutional isolation, and 242 in quarantine facilities.
On Friday, 217,391 people got vaccination against the infection.
