74 percent population in Valley vaccinated against Covid-19

Kathmandu: Thirty-three percent of the total population in the country has been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far. The vaccination was conducted as per the target set against coronavirus till October 17.

Similarly, 81 percent population of Kathmandu Valley—Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur—have already got the first dose of the vaccine while 74 percent received a full dose of the vaccine. There are 2,129,773 people above 18 years in Kathmandu Valley.

Joint-Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, said that 40 percent population has got the first dose of the vaccine while a full dose of vaccine against COVID-19 has been administered to 32 percent population.

A total of 872,705 people have got their first shot of vaccine while 690,164 got a full dose of vaccine against coronavirus, he shared. The government has set a target to administer vaccines against Covid-19 to 21,756,763 people above 18 years. RSS
