Covid-19: Nepal witnesses 513 new cases and eight deaths; positivity at percent 7.4 percent

Kathmandu: A total of 513 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were identified from 4,972 RT-PCR and 1,959 antigen tests.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached 808,534 (in PCR tests) and 93,980 (in antigen tests) in the country as of Saturday. The positivity rate stood at 7.40 percent.

Similarly, the Ministry confirmed that 817 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 786,630 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.3 percent.

According to the Ministry, a total of eight Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours across the country. The Ministry stated that the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has reached 11,345.

The Ministry has further shared that there are 10,559 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
