Kathmandu: The worshippers have concluded the Chhath, a festival of goodwill and faith, by making offerings to the rising sun.

The four-day festival starts from Kartik Shukla Chaturthi as per the lunar calendar by worshipping the setting sun and concludes on Kartik Shukla Saptami by making offerings to the rising sun.

The revelers had made offerings to the sun with the grains produced in their fields and homemade delicious foods on the banks of different ponds. Worshippers have concluded the Chhath by making offerings to the rising sun at Guheshwori, Kamalpokhari and Bagmati river in Kathmandu.

The sun considered as the god of energy and of the life force was worshiped during the Chhath festival to promote well-being, prosperity and progress as per the time-honored tradition.
