Avalanche in Mustang leaves 11 injured

Kathmandu: A massive avalanche on the Tukuche Peak at Thasang Rural Municipality-2 in Mustang district has left 11 locals injured.

According to police, the injured are identified as teachers and students of a school.

“As the avalanche occurred, teachers and students of Jana Adarsa School tried to escape from the site. They were injured in an attempt to escape,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Kumar Dani, who is the chief of Mustang Police.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Mustang District Hospital.
