Covid-19: Positivity rate drops to 2.5 percent; 270 new cases and two deaths recorded

Kathmandu: A total of 270 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were identified from 7,829 RT-PCR and 2,617 antigen tests.

With the new cases, the Covid-19 tally has reached 820,527 (in PCR tests) and 95,452 (in antigen tests) in the country as of Friday. The positivity rate stood at 2.5 percent.

Similarly, the Ministry confirmed that 302 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 801,722 so far. The recovery rate stands at 97.7 percent.

According to the Ministry, two Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours across the country. The Ministry stated that the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has reached 11,518.

The Ministry has further shared that there are 7,287 active cases of coronavirus across the country.
