Qatar hands over 50 ventilators to Nepal

Kathmandu: Qatar has provided medical supplies to help Nepal tackle the Covid-19 pandemic. Qatar Fund For Development provided 50 ventilators to Nepal as per the order by Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to provide necessary health supplies to Nepal to fight the pandemic.

Consular at Qatari Embassy in Kathmandu Nasser Ghanem Abdulla Al-Ghanem Al-maadheed handed over the ventilators to Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Health Dr Pawan Jung Rayamajhi at a function on Tuesday.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Consular Nasser Ghanem Abdulla Al-Ghanem Al-maadheed said that Qatar was ready to help Nepal in the time of need in return for the contribution of Nepalis to Qatar and Qatari people.

Joint Secretary Rayamajhi thanked the Qatari government for the support and added that the ventilators will be sent to necessary government hospitals.
