Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate reaches 97.8 percent; 265 new cases registered from 8,617 tests

Kathmandu: Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population on Monday said that the country recorded 265 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

A total of 8,617 tests including 7,114 RT-PCR tests and 1,503 antigen tests were done during the period. With these new cases, the total infected number has reached 822,830 in PCR tests and 95,619 in antigen in the country so far.

Likewise, altogether 357 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. A total of 804,901 people have recovered from the pandemic so far. Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.8 percent and case fatality at 1.4 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, two Covid-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,543.

The number of active cases in the country is 6,386.
