Covid-19 active cases drop to 6,105; recovery rate improves to 97.8 percent

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 211 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Thursday.

A total of 197 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 14 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 8,018 people were tested through the PCR method while 1,433 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, altogether 329 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 97.8 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, two people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 11,549.
