Newly-elected CWC of Nepali Congress holding meeting today

Kathmandu: The meeting of the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is being held today.

As per the agenda, ‘certificates’ will be distributed to the elected office bearers and members in the meeting to be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa from 11 am, according to Krishna Prasad Poudel, chief secretary of the party’s central office.

A total of 134 office bearers and members of the Central Working Committee have been elected from the election held under the General Convention held in Kathmandu.

In the meeting, Prime Minister and party president Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to thank everyone for the success of the convention and share the decision to register the party with the Election Commission for the upcoming elections.

It is said that Congress will file an application for party registration for the election of National Assembly members in the Commission today along with the decision of the meeting. Earlier, the commission had set a deadline of December 25 for party registration.
