Kathmandu: The country has reported 6,827 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Friday.
Among the new cases, 4,807 were confirmed from 13,791 RT-PCR tests while 2,020 were known from 6,078 antigen tests carried out in the last 24 hours across the country.
Similarly, a total of 5,432 infected got recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active cases in the country is 89,941. Of them, 88,084 are in home isolation and 1,857 patients are in institutional isolation.
Likewise, a total of 256 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in ICUs of various health facilities while 45 are with ventilator support.
A total of 10 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 11,697.
