Kathmandu: An impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has been filed at the Parliament Secretariat on Sunday.
As many as 98 lawmakers of Nepali Congress, Maoist (Centre), and CPN (Unified Socialist) have signed the proposal for the impeachment motion against CJ Rana.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, the lawmakers had reached the Parliament Secretariat to meet Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota with the signatures of 98 lawmakers.
CJ Rana has been accused of seeking his share in the government.
