UAE sets 176 runs target for Nepal in T20 World Cup Qualifiers semi-finals

Kathmandu: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set a 176 runs target for Nepal in the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers held in Oman on Tuesday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the UAE notched up 175 runs losing seven wickets with a blazing performance by Muhammad Waseem. Opener Waseem scored 70 runs off 48 balls hitting four fours and four sixes. Vriitya Aravind made 46 runs before being bowled by Nepali skipper Sandeep Lamichhane.

Abinash Bohara and Jitendra Mukhiya grabbed three wickets each.

Nepal will qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be played in Australia from October 16 to November 13 if it defeats the UAE today.
