Kathmandu: Sunrise Bank has started branchless banking in Arjundhara-1, Shanti Chowk in Jhapa district.
With the operation of the new branchless service, the bank is offering branchless service from 87 places across the country.
Arjundhara Municipality Ward 1 Chairman Gajadhar Khatiwada and representatives of local political parties, teachers, employees and businessmen were also present.
Customers can avail services such as deposit collection, payment, transfer, bill payment, the bank said in a statement. The bank has stated that it has started banking services with the objective of increasing banking access to the residents of the area where agriculture and remittances are the main sources of income.
