NICCI Vice President KC, BJP leader Chauthaiwale discuss strengthening Nepal-India economic relations

Kathmandu: Sunil KC, vice president of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICC) paid a courtesy call on Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, foreign affairs chief of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of India.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening Nepal-India economic relations by bringing Investments to Nepal in the areas of energy and infrastructure under the PPP model.

Vice President KC urged Chauthaiwale to support Nepal through investment in mega projects by the involvement of private sectors of both countries and also asked him to support through his government to establish Nepal India Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.

During the meeting, they also disused the cross-border power trading business between Nepal and India and the idea of investments of government enterprises from both countries and private companies to develop the biggest hydropower projects in Nepal and other infrastructure projects in order to promote public-private partnership model.

Chauthaiwale assured to support such initiatives through his government and as a head of foreign affairs of BJP he wants more investments to be done in Nepal from Indian companies.
