Social worker Thapa purchases land for a homeless family

Gulmi: Social worker Lil Bahadur Thapa of Banke has purchased land for constructing a house for a homeless family in Badigad Rural Municipality in Baglung district.

Thapa, who has been working in the USA for the past 14 years, purchased a land plot for the family of Juna Damai staying at a den at Badigad Rural Municipality-6 along with her family members. The land has been purchased at Badigad Rural Municipality-5.

Thapa said that the construction work of a house will move forward in the next few days and all the expenses for the construction of the house will be borne by the social worker Thapa himself.

Thapa said that he helped the Damai family after he came to know about the family through a program ‘Sangarshaka Katha’ hosted by Deepak Nepali and telecasted on the Gtv Nepal YouTube channel.

Speaking on the occasion, Gandaki Thapa Adhikari, Chairman of Badigad Rural Municipality, thanked Thapa for his generous financial support.

In recent times, a social worker Thapa has been providing financial support to needy people in various places including Gulmi and Baglung.
