Three killed in road accidents

Kathmandu: Two persons died in a road mishap that occurred on Friday at Gangachowk of Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 in Morang district.

Chief of District Traffic Police Office, Morang, Raj Kumar Karki said 27-year-old Harka Pariyar and Bhim Bahadur Rai, 21, of Kerabari Rural Municipality-7 in the district died after an Indian car, FR 38 F 2210, hit a motorcycle, Ko 30 Pa 9103, on its way to Itahari from Biratnagar.

Police said motorcyclist Pariyar and pillion rider Rai died at Birat Teaching Hospital while receiving treatment.

Police have held the driver of the Indian car for further investigations.

Meanwhile, a five-year-old boy died on Thursday evening after a tractor hit him at Chhachautara in Bhojpur Municipality-12, Bhojpur.

The District Police Office, Bhojpur, said the goods-laden tractor, Me 1 Ta 7444, heading to Gumba area from the district headquarters knocked Nensang Tamang to death.
