Bhaktapur: At least three people were killed and nine were injured when a tree near Greenland Hotel uprooted and fell on a scooter and a bus at Bhaktapur Municipality-1 on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, two passengers on a public bus, and a scooter rider died on the spot. The tree fell on a passenger vehicle (Ba 2 Kha 3584) and a scooter with registration number Ba 61 PA 3978.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, said police.
The injured have been sent to the Imanura Hospital, Bhaktapur International Hospital and Madhyapur Hospital for treatment.
According to police, two injured passengers are in a critical condition.
