Vaccination drive for China-gifted vaccines kicks off

KATHMANDU: The government has kicked off the vaccination drive for coronavirus vaccines received under Chinese assistance.

The vaccination campaign started from Civil Hospital in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning in presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi.

A total of 800,000 vaccines will be administered from 23 vaccination centers in Rasuwa, Sinhuplachowk, Kavre and Nuwakot apart from Kathmandu Valley.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, professors, Nepali students studying in China under Chinese scholarship and businessmen among others in the age group of 18 to 59 years will be inoculated.
