Banke: A total of 180 people have so far succumbed to coronavirus in Banke after eight deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
A total of eight patients including five women succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours.
Among total deaths, 80 are from Banke and 100 from other districts.
According to liaison officer at District Covid Crisis Management Center Tej Oli, a 36-year-old man of Kolahpur-10 died while undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, RSS reported that a 45-year-old man has died of Corona Virus infection in Gulmi last night. The 45-year-old of Hardineta in Chatrakota rural municipality died at his home before he could be taken to the hospital.
The man had returned from India and underwent a test after suffering from a minor fever on Friday.
He tested positive and experienced difficulty breathing all of a sudden on Saturday night. As preparations were being made to take him to Palpa, he passed away, the family sources said.
Two people have already died since the second wave of Covid hit the country. Lastly, 39 people tested positive including people between 22 to 55 years of age, the District Covid crisis management center, Gulmi said.
