There is new location in town that is catering to the needs of those who are concerned about their health and wellness. Meraki Holistic Wellness Retreat has opened its doors to those who want to take a few days out of their hectic schedule and rejuvenate their lives. Meraki is nestled in a serene vicinity of Budhanilkantha, amid refreshing natural greenery away from the noise and pollution of the city. Just entering the premises gives you a peaceful vibe, add to it the services offered by the retreat, you will definitely be pampering your mind, body and soul.

According to Bidhatri Chaudhary, Executive Director of Meraki, Meraki means putting your heart and soul in everything that you do, doing anything with love, giving your 100 percent. “Here at Meraki Holistic Wellness Retreat, we put our heart and soul into providing the wellness of body, mind and soul of our clients,” said Chaudhary.  

The retreat is spread in an area of 1,5 acres, and there’s is a lush garden with beautiful landscape. The main building is a lavish villa with well furnished rooms, and they are available for those who purchase the packages. Meraki offers numerous wellness services along with various packages and therapies. The services include hydrotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen bath, salt halotherapy, and FIR sauna and steam among many others.

According to Chaudhary, in Nepal, hydrotherapy is only available at Meraki. Meraki also provides the service of live blood analysis that immediately shows the blood report. “It’s an initial analysis of your body is functioning, and it’s a measure of your overall health,” informed Chaudhary.

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber is another rare service offered here which is good for lung health, and is beneficial for people with autism and other ailments. The oxygen therapy session improves oxygen concentration in body and regenerates the healing functions. It also stimulates new blood vessel growth and increases blood flow, and enhances the immunity system.

Meraki also offers wellness and healing packages like detox packages and one day reset package, which will serve as a holiday for your mind body and soul. Other packages include monthly yoga packages and monthly sauna packages. Besides, physiotherapy, pranic healing, yoga, basic spa services like stream and sauna, and others are also offered.

“At the moment, we are selling only a few packages, like the Detox Package of 2 nights and 3 days. It includes consultation, three meals day which are curated meals. You can’t eat whatever you like while taking the package. It also incorporates yoga, massage, hydrotherapy, salt room sessions and pranic healing,” informed Chaudhary.

and wellness.”

The retreat has a restaurant that serves healthy and nutritious food. “We do not serve meat and alcohol at the restaurant, and it will soon become a vegan restaurant. We are trying to make it sustainable and environment friendly, and plan to use only bio-degradable material in the near future,” said Chaudhary. The restaurant is open for all, clients and walk-in customers.

“We also entertain walk-in clients, but we aren’t promoting ourselves that way for now. We are more trying to create awareness regarding a healthy lifestyle. We want to help people by being a part of their healing journey. We are here to help you according to your requirement of health and wellness,” said Chaudhary.

According to Chaudhary, Meraki’s ultimate aim is to extend its services and promote wellness tourism. “There is enormous potential in Nepal for this kind of tourism. We are lacking premium services and premium tourists in wellness sector, and the market is yet to be tapped,” said Chaudhary.
