Private sector appeals to ensure smooth supply of oxygen, daily essentials

Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) have appealed to all industries to make available their cylinders to the respective gas producers or nearby oxygen-producing plants immediately.

The three organizations have made a joint appeal to all industries that are using oxygen which is important in the treatment of Covid-19.

Similarly, they have stated that their attention has been drawn to the complaints of the general public about the shortage of essential food items and price hike.

Sating that they have come to know that private hospitals are charging exorbitantly for treatment of Covid-19 patients, the organizations stated that hospitals should not focus on minting profits at the time of crisis.
