Kathmandu: Rastriya Janamorcha has dismissed its leader Krishna Thapa as Parliamentary Party leader for Gandaki Province.

Rastriya Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC said that the decision to sack Thapa from the position has been submitted to Gandaki Province Assembly Secretariat.

KC told Nepal Live Today that Thapa was removed from the position and was asked to furnish clarification for violating the party’s decision to support the Nepali Congress-led opposition alliance to form a new government.

The party said that action has been taken against Thapa after he did not abide by the party’s decision to vote for Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel of NC proposed as Chief Minister.
