Chitwan: The District Administration Office Chitwan has extended the prohibitory order enforced in the district to stem the spread of the coronavirus till May 26.

The order has been enforced in Chitwan since April 27. The prohibitory order imposed in the first round is expiring from Friday midnight.

The order issued by Chief District Officer Premlal Lamichhane stated that the prohibitory order has been extended as per the decision of the District Crisis Covid Management Center.

Lamichhane said the decision to extend the restraining order for another two weeks was taken following a conclusion that the first phase of the order helped to reduce the spread of the infection.
