Kathmandu: Khim Lal Devkota has been elected National Assembly (NA) member from Bagmati Province in by-elections held on Thursday.
Devkota from the United Alliance defeated CPN-UML candidate Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ securing 5,088 vote weightage. Thapa got 4,014 vote weightage.
Devkota was supported by Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), and Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the UML.
