CFPA hands over medical supplies

Kathmandu: China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) has handed over medical supplies to Kathmandu Metropolis-17 and 19.

CFPA handed over 20 oxygen cylinders with 40 liters capacity along with the other essential health supplies—200 personal protective equipment (PPEs), 100 face shields, 1,000 face masks, and two sanitation machines for community disinfection—to Kathmandu-17, Chhetrapati.

Likewise, five oxygen cylinders and some medical materials were support to Kathmandu-19.

The area is a famous global tourist destination inside the Kathmandu Valley and also densely populated. Thousands of Chinese businessmen live in the area.

CFPA Nepal Office Zou Zhiqiang said, “This program had been carried out as a prompt response to the second wave of Covid-19 in Nepal. Nepal is wavering towards an unprecedented health emergency with the continuing spike in the number of cases and casualties.”

In coordination with the local government, CFPA is planning to support more than 10 communities with medical equipment in Covid-hit places.

CFPA, a leading humanitarian organization in china, has been conducting its philanthropic activities in Nepal since 2015. The organization is the first active Chinese INGO operating in Nepal for six years.
