Nepal reports 5,316 new Covid-19 cases and 101 deaths; 7,219 recover

Kathmandu: A total of 7,219 more people have recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 has reached 571,903 in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,316 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded across the nation during the same period. With this, the number of the Covid-19 caseload has reached 566,587.

Meanwhile, 101 peoples died of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 7,555.

The latest Covid-19 cases were detected in 16,878 tests including 13,805 RT-PCR and 3,073 antigen tests held in various laboratories in the country in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total number of active cases stands at 101,993 with 95,131 in home-based isolation and 6,862 in institutional isolation.

Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,456 Covid-19 cases with 181 cases in Bhaktapur, 306 in Lalitpur, and 969 in Kathmandu.
