Covid-19 Nepal: 6,653 fresh cases and 101 fatalities recorded; 8,663 recover

Kathmandu: Nepal has recorded 6,653 cases of Covid-19 from 14,182 RT-PCR tests and 6,631 antigen tests, the country’s Ministry of Health and Population said on Friday.

A total of 101 people died from the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, the death toll from the infection has hit 7,731

There are 13,967 active cases in Kathmandu, 5,609 in Lalitpur and 4,048 in Bhaktapur.

Meanwhile, 476,130 people have recovered from the disease till date after 8,663 recovered in the past 24 hours and the country has 97,699 active cases. This means that the Covid-19 recovery rate has improved to 81.9 percent, according to Health Ministry. Similarly, 755 are at the quarantine facility.

A total of 6,825 had people tested positive for the coronavirus, while 75 deaths were reported on Thursday.

Nepal had record 177 deaths on May 21, 129 deaths on May 22, 193 deaths on May 23, 125 deaths on May 24, 169 deaths on May 25, 145 deaths on May 26, 106 deaths on May 27, 96 deaths on May 28, 116 deaths on May 29 and 109 deaths on May 30.

Likewise, 114 people succumbed to the pandemic on May 31, 69 on June 1, 101 on June 2, 75 on June 3 and 101 on June 4.
