67 succumb to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours; 3,750 fresh cases recorded

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 3,750 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Friday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 2,709 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 1,041 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 9,598 people were tested through the PCR method while 5,584 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, altogether 5,225 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 86.2 percent.

According to the Ministry, 67 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 8,305.

Nepal currently has 75,275 active cases. There are 10,051 active cases in Kathmandu, 2,496 in Bhaktapur, and 3,994 in Lalitpur.
