Ex-PM Khanal flown to India for further treatment

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Jhalanath Khanal has been to New Delhi, India on Wednesday for further treatment.

UML central member Niraj Acharya said that the former Prime Minister was taken to the Indian Capital City following suggestions by doctors as no significant improvement in his health condition has been observed.

Khanal was admitted to the Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital due to health problems on Monday. The leader who was brought to the hospital after he complained of physical weakness was recommended for admission by doctors.

Leader Khanal had a fever for the past nine days. He was been shifted to the general ward from the emergency ward and is under oxygen support. Prior to this, the former Prime Minister was hospitalized at the same hospital for the treatment of Covid-19. Doctors attending to leader Khanal suspect the leader of having post-Covid health issues.
