Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has started the preparation to vie for the party’s top post in the 14th general convention. Deuba has started meeting with the central members close to him as a part of his plan to vie for the party’s top post.
On Sunday, Deuba has secretly called the central members close to him and asked them to support his candidacy in the general convention. He is now meeting with the central members of Bagmati province at his residence in Budhanilkantha. Similarly, the discussions with the central members of Gandaki province are scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
Deuba has been repeatedly trying to convince the central members to support him in the general convention to be held from September 1 to 4, 2021.
