Baglung : A rural municipality in Baglung has come up with plans to develop the rural municipality as a touristic destination.
Tarakhola Rural Municipality of the district has unveiled the policy and program for the fiscal year 2021/22 with plans to conduct a tourism infrastructure development program, develop a touristic destination in each ward and operate homestays.
The policy and program state that Karimela of Ward No. 5 will be developed as a model tourist settlement and the construction of a trail from the under-construction museum to Shaheed Park through Argal village will be started among others.
Similarly, a policy has been taken to discourage the extraction of aggregates from the river and to construct embarkments at necessary places. The rural municipality also plans to run health insurance programs, install necessary equipment at health institutions, establish Covid Relief Fund, and run a 10-year life insurance program for women health volunteers among others.
