Kathmandu: Sudurpashchim provincial assembly has approved the budget for the fiscal year 2021/22.
On Monday, Speaker Arjun Bahadur Thapa declared the endorsement of the budget as the majority of the lawmakers were in favor of it. However, the lawmakers belonging to the KP Oli faction of CPN-UML were against the endorsement of the budget.
Minister of Economic Affairs of the provincial government Prakash Bahadur Shah had presented the budget of over Rs. 30.33 billion. According to Shah, over 10.66 billion has been allocated as recurrent capital and over 17.65 billion as capitalized budget.
