Covid-19: Nepal records 1,603 fresh cases and 27 deaths in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: Nepal recorded 1,603 new coronavirus cases and 27 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. While the cases declined from 2328, the number of fatalities increased from 16 yesterday.

According to the Ministry, a total of 1,042 cases were confirmed positive through PCR tests while 561 cases were confirmed through the antigen method on July 4. Samples of 4,876 people were tested through the PCR method while 3,256 samples were tested using the antigen method.

As of today, the death toll from Covid-19 has reached 9,225. Moreover, 2,552 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
