Nepal’s Covid-19 recovery rate improves to 94.6 percent; 2,622 new cases and 23 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,622 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Monday.

Likewise, altogether 2,211 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period. The Ministry said that the recovery rate in Nepal is 94.6 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, 23 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,248.

A total of 1,745 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 877 were confirmed positive in tests undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 7,499 people were tested through the PCR method while 4,028 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Nepal currently has 25,690 active cases.
