Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar passes away at 98

Kathmandu: Bollywood veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away on Wednesday due to an age-related illness, Indian media reported. He was 98.

He died at the private Hinduja Hospital where had been admitted for certain breathing issues.

The sad news of Dilip Kumar’s demise was confirmed by his family friend Faisal Farooqui on the legendary actor’s official Twitter handle. Dr Faisal tweeted: With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. – Faisal Farooqui

Dilip Kumar’s career spans over five decades with hits like “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Devdas”, “Naya Daur”, and “Ram Aur Shyam”. His last big-screen appearance was in the 1998 film “Qila”.
