Valley CDOs holding meeting today to decide on long-distance public transportation

Kathmandu: Chief District Officers of three districts of Kathmandu Valley— Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur—are holding a meeting on Thursday to decide on prohibitory order.

Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli said that the meeting would be held today but the time has not been fixed yet. The current prohibitory order is ending on Thursday at midnight.

Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, Dhundi Prasad Niraula, said that discussions are underway to extend the order for 15 days and resume long-distance public transportation. The meeting is likely to allow long-distance public vehicles to enter Valley.

Currently, all sorts of vehicles and shops have come into operation in the Kathmandu Valley while educational institutions and theaters among others are closed.
