Covid-19: 2,838 new cases and 30 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 2,838 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,918 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 920 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 8,715 people were tested through the PCR method while 3,901 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, 1,475 Covid-19 patients got full recovery during the period.

According to the Ministry, 30 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,637. Nepal currently has 26,832active cases.
