Covid-19: 3,365 new cases and 16 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has witnessed a total of 3,365 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population stated on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health, 2,335 were diagnosed with the virus in PCR tests while 1,030 were confirmed positive in the test undertaken through the antigen method. Samples of 9,555 people were tested through the PCR method while 4,687 samples were tested adopting the antigen method.

Likewise, 1,373 Covid-19 patients got recovered during the period.

According to the Ministry, 16 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,807. Nepal currently has 30,390 active cases.
