Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal underwent a kidney transplant on Wednesday.
Khanal, who has been undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in India for the past two months, underwent a successful transplant today, his Personal Secretary Krishna Bhattarai said.
Khanal will stay at the hospital for few more days before returning to Nepal, said Bhattarai.
