Kathmandu: The National Examinations Board (NEB) has postponed the examinations of Grade 12 indefinitely.

A meeting of the board held on Saturday took a decision to that end considering the risk of Covid-19 infection, according to Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Ram Prasad Thapaliya.

The exams were scheduled to start on August 15.

NEB said a new notice will be published 15 days prior to holding the examinations.

Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population had requested the concerned agencies to postpone examinations owing to the increased risk of the pandemic.
