Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Karuna Foundation sign Memorandum of Understanding for mutual assistance

Kathmandu: Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh and Karuna Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual assistance to work in the field of vision-related problems on Friday.

The agreement has been signed by Prof. Dr. Bhagawan Koirala, Chairman of Karuna Foundation Nepal and Bharat Bahadur Chand, Central General Secretary of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh.

Apart from this, Biratnagar Eye Hospital under the association has also signed a program agreement with Karuna Foundation. The Foundation in a statement said that it believes that the agreement will eliminate eye and ear-related disabilities and improve the living standards of people with disabilities in Province 1.

Speaking on the occasion, Chand said that the Association has moved ahead to ensure access to eye and ear services to every citizen and family by adopting the strategy of multi-sectoral partnership.

Likewise, Dr. Koirala said that the agreement would further help in providing identification and essential treatment and rehabilitation services to the visually impaired.
