Govt recommends proroguing House session

Kathmandu: The government has recommended proroguing the session of the House of Representatives.

A meeting of Council of Ministers held on Monday decided to recommend to President Bidhya Devi Bhandari to prorogue the session from Monday midnight.

President summons and ends House session on recommendation of government as per the Constitutional provision.

The first meeting of the reinstated House of Representatives took place on July 18 in which Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba secured vote of confidence.
