Prabhuram Sharma appointed Nepal Army Chief

Kathmandu: The government has appointed Acting Chief of Army Staff Prabhuram Sharma as the Chief of the Nepal Army.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday decided to recommend to President for the appointment.

Sharma will succeed Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa after the latter retires on September 10.
