Marvel Cinematic Universe has once again outdone itself by releasing the much-awaited animation series—“What if…?”. For Marvel fans, this series is nothing but an exercise in uncovering the mystery about what might have happened if things were a bit different in between the creation of the first avenger and the endgame. It tells a story of the events in different planets around the multiverse. This is quite different from the stories we have seen in the previous movies and series.

The long-awaited series released its first episode on 11 August, and it surely did blow the minds off of its fans. Every episode of the series contains a separate story, featuring the small tweaks and turns in the previous events.

Since the Marvel movies are closely related with one another, even a smallest change within one character can bring a huge change in the chain of events. This is the concept that this series has been exploring. Because the viewers have only seen the chain of events with only one perspective, this series has made its fans very curious about what might have happened if things were different.

“What if…?” covers one change of event per episode; it does show the chain of events that changes along with it until the end. For people to understand this series, it is important that they have the full knowledge regarding the entire marvel cinematic universe, especially the movies—starting from Captain America: The first Avenger till the Avengers: Endgame, all in a chronological order

Not just the story line, but also the videography, and specially the Computer-generated imagery (CGI), is so compelling, impressive, and life-like that while watching the movie, one gets completely immersed in its universe.

For people who are interested in the sci-fi and fantasy genre, surfing through the Marvel Cinematic Universe can be an amazing experience. To be honest, not all of the movies can be considered great. But to understand the story, the viewer sometimes has to suffer through the movies they are not quite into.

Even with this series, it is impossible to watch it without knowing the entire backstory, and that includes watching 22 movies, and they are just the ones that have already been released. There are more to come.

On the other hand, DC movies are way more independent and one can watch movies of any superheroes they like, without being concerned about not understanding the backstory. Some of them might be loosely connected but that does not have much effect on the understanding of the viewers.

On the contrary, for people who are in love with these types of genres, watching the entire Marvel movies can be a piece of cake. Although the movies are highly dependent on one another, we cannot ignore the fact that all the stories are laid out in such a way that the viewers can’t stop binging on it.

Not just the story line, but also the videography, and specially the Computer-generated imagery (CGI), is so compelling, impressive, and life-like that while watching the movie, one gets completely immersed in its universe.

With its imaginative work, Marvel has provided an escape for people through their movies. People can come home from their tiring day, put on a Marvel movie, and detach themselves from reality, even if it might not be for long. Marvel has become a huge part of the movie industry and it looks like it will continue to remain that way as Marvel is soon going to introduce the Phase four of its movies.
