3,030 recover in the last 24 hours; 2,052 new cases and 20 fatalities registered

Kathmandu: The country has recorded 2,052 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

This was revealed in 14,935 samples including 10,612 through RT-PCR and 4,323 antigen tests carried out in various laboratories across the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

This takes the caseload of Covid-19 infection in the country to 764,295 confirmed through RT-PCR and 83,909 through antigen tests.

Likewise, 3,030 people recovered during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 719,336.

Meanwhile, 20 people lost their lives in the past 24 hours, taking the Covid-19 death toll to 10,770.

The number of active cases in the country is 34,189 with 31,812 of them in home isolation, 2,377 in institutional isolation. Of the infected, 563 are undergoing treatment in ICU while 170 are with ventilator support.

Kathmandu Valley recorded 719 new cases with 471 in Kathmandu, 146 in Lalitpur and 102 in Bhaktapur.
